All this time that I've been freaking out because I couldn't check my marks in Abnormal Psych, it was because I WAS GOING TO THE WRONG WEBSITE.

I should have just read the syllabus instead of trying to find it on the internet. Because I WENT TO THE OLD VERSION!

God I'm so dumb. XP Anyway. My second midterm mark was 80%, which is nice. I still don't know what my first midterm mark was because it only shows current posted marks. My mark is well above the average, which unfortunately counts for shit in this class because we're marked according to a preset curve instead of the actual occurring one. I believe I'm above the preset average as well though, which is also nice.

I'm so mad about my essay. It was great. And now thanks to corrections I'm like second guessing my entire conclusion. This one damn sentence is driving me insane. I wrote something about the use of （笑）type expressions in Japan and said そんな短くした表現はカナダでも使う。カナダで使う「LOL」のように表現だと思う。And my sensei stuck a big arrow from the "Canada de tsukau LOL no you ni" part to in front of "sonna". So it goes, カナダで使う「LOL」のようにそんな短くした表現はカナダでも使う。Which, for those of you who don't speak this silly language, makes the sentence read "Like (the expression) LOL used in Canada, that kind of shortened expression is also used in Canada."

WHAT THE HELL?!?!?!

I mean yes, Japanese can sometimes seem redundant to the English speaking brain. But, COME ON. That just cannot be right. And she underlined the whole used in Canada part, so I know I'm not misinterpreting what she wanted me to move.
I need to start memorizing this, I don't even have time for any more corrections. GAAAAAHHH

In fact I have to start right now. Sigh. See you guys when stuff is no longer DUMB.

These video ads on LJ are really starting to annoy me. I don't turn off the sound on my comp, so every time I come back to LJ one of those commercials will suddenly start speaking and I fly through the roof once again. Every time.

Had horrible sleep again. God damn. I wish I knew why this keeps happening. I really really really don't want to develop my mom's insomnia. I'm actually starting to dread going to bed because I don't know whether it's going to be a good night or a bad one. ...Sigh. Well, next semester I have 3 days of waking up late! in the week, so maybe that'll help.

No one is responding to my topic on the Synesthesia group board on FB. Not even the one guy who responds to EVERYTHING. T_T But, but, it's important!!

I just realized that my first exam is in a week. *hyperventilate* And I still have the Jap essay to worry about. This semester can't end soon enough.

Presentation tomorrow!! o.O; All things considered, I think we'll do fine. My whole speech is safely lodged in my head, and it seems that we're allowed to use notes anyway. Q and A might be a challenge, but I'll just have to try to figure it out. And why is it so hard for me to remember "n janai deshou ka"? I keep saying "n janai ka" or "n janai ka deshou"... which is like wtf.

We're going to be talking about sex in Abnormal Psych next class, and already I've learned something interesting. Apparently, Kellogg's cereal and Graham crackers were invented as "brain food" to deter sexual drive. LOL. You never knew your Special K was so insidious...
I seriously love that class.

My brother earned himself an honest-to-goodness facepalm last night. At 10:30 he started telling me about how he had a presentation in English to do about poetry. Lucky for him, I was in the same class with the same teacher in grade 12, so I figured I could help him out. He had to find the theme of "power" in an assortment of Margaret Atwood poems, and to make a 10 minute presentation about it. While we were going through a couple I made the mistake of asking him when he to have it done by.

Now there are a few classes and teachers you can scrape by with a last minute project, and I'll never forget the story of "Dave's overnight IA", but... not here. Not with fascist Bentz calling the shots.
Anyways, we managed to get through two poems (one of pretty good length), so at least he has SOMETHING to talk about.
